Hat City Tattoo is located at 32 North Street in Danbury, CT. Chris has owned the shop since March of 2009 and has been tattooing since 2005. Before he was a tattooer and owner, he was a customer getting his first tattoo from Hat City around early 2001. Alongside Chris is Jake, who was also a customer first before becoming part of the shop. Although Jake is still new to tattooing he is coming along very quickly and making some great tattoos. The guys at Hat City are known for their American Traditional style of tattooing but welcome other styles as well.
Q: Do you accept credit cards?
A: Cash is preferred, but we do accept all major credit cards. Sorry, no checks.
Q: Do I need an appointment to get tattooed?
A: No, walk-ins are always welcome. However appointments take priority.
Q: How do I make an appointment?
A: Stop by the shop and leave a cash deposit, or call and pay with a credit/debit card over the phone. A minimum deposit of $50 is required to make your appointment. Your deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE and will go towards the cost of your tattoo (ex. $150 tattoo = $50 deposit + $100 balance when you come to get your tattoo).
Q: How old do I have to be to get tattooed?
A: CT state law allows minors 16 and 17 to be tattooed with parental consent. To do this both child and parent must have valid state issued id as well as the child’s birth certificate. Names from ids must match names on birth certificate and the addresses on the ids must match as well. If all this criteria cannot be met for whatever reason we will not tattoo you. If we are uncomfortable with design or location we will not tattoo you. We will NOT tattoo a minor on the hands, neck, face, or head. The parent or guardian must sign for their child as well as be present for the entire duration of the tattoo.
Q: Do you pierce?
A: Sorry, we do not.
